I first hired Carron about 17 years ago to design and carry out a specialist paint finish on the dining room walls of my period property. Carron provided expert advice and creative ideas in keeping with the character of the property and my taste and budget. I was delighted with the result, which had involved building up layers of colour using specialist techniques. Carron transformed my dining room and exceeded my expectations in giving it the warmth, ambience and originality I had hoped for.
I now live abroad and rent out the property. When I was looking for someone to redecorate the two bedrooms, I had no hesitation in contacting Carron to see if she was available. She provided me with a competitive quote, both in terms of timescales and cost, and professional advice on the best materials to use. She also gave me useful advice on the purchase of carpets, not only on colour but on material, as she has experience of the rental market and what materials will be most durable.
I was at the property organising repairs for part of the time that the decorating was being carried out, and it was a pleasure to work with Carron. She was professional, punctual, friendly and helpful. I also had no hesitation in entrusting her with the keys to the property so that she could have access when I wasn't there, and she picked them up from and returned them to the estate agents without any problems. The work was completed on time and on budget to a highly professional standard. Carron also offered invaluable advice on how to minimise damage to the walls during the tenancy by removing extraneous shelves that were causing undue pressure on the plaster. The walls had suffered some wear and tear over the last few years and she made good all cracks and imperfections before painting so that they looked like new after she had finished. I couldn't have been happier with the excellent job she did.
